Our Jansen Artist Bench is the highest quality artist bench manufactured in the United States, and is designed for stage and teaching studio durability. The Jansen artist bench is constructed of American hardwood maple legs and frame, and the upholstered top is tufted with the highest-end furniture grade vinyl or leather. The Petite artist bench features the same adjustable mechanism used in the standard size artist bench. The artist bench measures 13″ x 21.5″ Setting the Jansen artist bench apart from all competition in terms of quality and durability, and unique to their line of artist benches, is the accordion style lift mechanism. Refined over the past 60 years, the silent, solid steel “Micro-A-Just” close-tolerance lift mechanism features precision, durability and convenient height adjustment from 18″ to 21″. Made of solid steel, it is the highest quality adjustment mechanism on the market today, and is the only recommended adjustment system for situations where the bench will be frequently used and adjusted, such as schools, universities, churches, performance halls, etc. The superior accordion style design is not found in any other benches on the market today. Gary, I had told you that I host a Pianists’ Club and one of the members wanted to try out my Baldwin to see if the action was fast enough for the piece she planned to play at our next gathering. She’s a DMA candidate and just gave her first recital last week. She dropped by yesterday and said the action on the piano was wonderful! She will be able to play her fast piece with all the repeated notes with no problem. So I thought you’d want to know, since you’ve done so much work on it, evening out the hammers, etc. Thanks for putting in the hours of labor to bring my piano up to its best potential.
